I caught this Oestridae, yesterday (4-5-2013) on Sardinia, not at a very high altitude (< 200M).

Is it a Cephenemyia, and if so, is the species to retrieve based on thes photo's?

Thanks in advance

Excellent find !

If you don't collect, the specimen is heartly welcomed to stay in my collection

Maybe the good (?) (not god) and the rich friend Ruud can go to that place and collect several Hypoderma for our joy. Wink

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
