So what is going on ? The apical scutellr bristles are strong and distinctly crossed in the first pic, but very weak in the other ones.
The subapicals, which might be taken for apicals in some angles, are distinctly diverging… ?

Hello Theo, I think some bad angles or something messed up, both sub and apicals are divergent yes.

I tried to key the fly again and end up at Atylomyia loewi, but don't really find many pictures of that so I might be far off.

OK thanks. It seems to be a Blondeliini and it might very well be Meigenia. So check if the propleuron is hairy.

Thank you, I can't really tell for sure, I don't know how long the hairs are supposed to be too, but I did not see any clear hairs... Adding a picture, but bad quality to see anything....

Yes, definitely hairy. diagonal in front and below the anterior spiracle.
