Hi

* locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL
* date - 2007.08.16
* size - 8 mm (medium fly)
* habitat - openland
* substrate - on ground, near Quercus sp.

I found this unusual bombyliid with bare and white gena, in the place of Cyrtus gibbus (Acroceridae). It calls my attention because the gena reflected the sun rays that it almost looked like a mirror. ;)
It seems to be a mix of Cytherea with Vila

EDIT---> Title changed from "Bombyliid with bare and white gena - Exhyalanthrax sp..." to "Bombyliidae - Heteralonia rivularis"
