One of the Rhagionidae s.l., not one of the
Chrysopilus or
Rhagio group. Looking at Kerr's (2010) treatise on phylogeny and classification of Rhagionidae is may be close to
Bolbomyia, which he places again in the separate family Bolbomyiidae. Apparently one species is known from Baltic amber,
B. loewi (Meunier, F. 1902. Description de quelques diptères de l’ambre. -
