Hi,

I found this Hydrellia sp. in my garden in the west of the Netherlands on 12 march. Is further ID possible?

Thanks in advance,

Ramon

Could be Hydrellia albilabris (if it is very small, and especially if you have duckweed (Lemna) in your garden).

Thank you Tony

yes, it was a very small fly. I don't have duckweed in my garden, but there are places nearby where it could grow
