Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ephydridae 2mm shiny black >Athyroglossa ordinata

Kind request for help to find the ID of a 2mm Ephydridae. august in the Netherlands.
Halter black, 2 pair of scutellars, also hairs on scutellum, hind notopleural larger distance to suture than front notopleural ,
three facial bristels, no parafacila bristels or hairs, broad genae,

Hi,
it is one of Athyroglossa. I am a little confused about the species. In case mesonotal setulae are in regular rows and short artistal rays it is A. ordinata. If setulae are in irregular rays it is A. glabra.

Thank you very much. I looked at the specimen again under the stereoscoop It indeed has regular rows on the scutum and the acrostychals are short. Shorter than the other hairs/ bristles.

So it should then be Athyroglossa ordinata. A new species for the Netherlands as far as can check.
