I am not confident with my identification of a hoverfly.
I've cropped the hoverfly from my photo. I only have dorsal view.
I've found some keys in a pdf file:
https://repository.si.edu/bitstream/handle/10088/18922/ent_FCT_77.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y

here are the keys:

Parhelophilus frutetorum
Occiput dorsally with row of long black pile
face profile straight
costa with golden pile restricted basally, not extending to humeral crossvein

Parhelophilus versicolor
Occiput entirely yellow pilose
face profile convex
costa with extensive golden pile basally, extending beyond humeral crossvein

my assessment:
I see dark hairs around the area that should be the occiput.
I see something golden near what should be the costa but is it pile?

I think that this hoverfly is Parhelophilus frutetorum.
Will an expert please weigh in?
