Two photos in two places and two different years.
I think the second picture corresponds to an immature specimen.

They are both female Chrysops cinctus.

The lateral is very fresh indeed (the wing pattern hardly developed).

A species common in the Philippines.

Some sources list Chrysops cinctus Bigot as a junior synonym of C. signifer Walker.

Indded they do.
I used the name given by the review by Burger & Chainey.
I ammnot at home now, so I can't check what is going on.
