Should be, though I recently started wondering about the variation of the colour of this species. The above specimens Have much more dark and grey than others, that are clearly orange-yellow...

Miguel Carles-Tolrá apparently alos wondered about the variation. He reviewed Mediterranean
inusta and ressurected
punctifrons from synonymy and described the new species
pseudoinusta. The pictures above are
pseudoinusta.

Paul, do you know distribution of pseudoinusta?
i have what i think is M. inusta specimen, so i want to be certain of the id.

So far only the Iberian Peninsula up to the Pyrenees. And yes, genitalia are different. Rest assured, in Germany only
inusta. In fully coloured specimens
inusta has darkened fore tarsi, contrary to
pseudoinusta.

Thank you, Paul. I appreciate you taking time to reply.
i see dark tarsi, so it must be inusta. I'd post a photo but i don't want to hijack the thread :)
