Hi there,

this is a Choerades spec. I hope. A male?

Is it possible to determine the species?

Austria, Vienna, meadow with bushes (August)

Lorin

Is the genus (Choerades) correct?

If so, all the species in Austria should be covered by the Geller-Grim key for Asilidae.

Genus is correct. It could be a male C. fimbriata...

Agreed, Reinoud.

Following the key, I cannot find any other candidate except fimbriata.

Thanks for your help
