But this doesn't finish here. There are also males that look rather similar to a certain point but don't fit any description (however, if we try to key them forgetting about the sex, they would be keyed to P. vaginalis again). In the work of the Lindner series it is mentioned that males of Physocephala vaginalis are unknown. I guess that after such a long time males have been found somewhere.

Is there any expert here who has in his collection or has seen male specimens of this species??

This one was photographed back on 02.VIII.2016 in the same place.
