Further help appreciated on this female - I suspect Jassidophaga but find this family hard to approach. Specimen recorded 2nd July 2015 in coastal middle Norway.

i.e. what I've found: long piercer, strongly upcurved, body greyish-brown, all femora yellow-tipped, tibiae clear yellow sometimes vaguely obscured about the middle, all femora yellow at base (hind pair more extensively so), tarsi yellow apart from last 1-2 segments darkened

Missed that! V acuta has that vein, and apparently it's the only species reported in Norway

This certainly not Verrallia! Try Cephalops.

Getting rusty in my old age. It has been too long since I looked at pipunculids in detail. The presence of vein Ms and the absence of strong setae on the scutellum lead to Cephalosphaera. The bump on the base of the ovipositor then tells us it is C. furcata.
