Hello everyone,
This Diptera was found on 08th of May 2016 in northern Greece, prefecture of Serres near lake Kerkini
in a village called Sidirokastro after heavy rain. It was about 2cm in size.
We found the tiny fly in wood openings.
Thankful for any help.
Best
Alex

Thanks John and Paul.
With this information I will go ahead to find the species.
If I find out the exact species, I will post it here.
But maybe there somebody who knows the genus in detail.
All the best
Alex

Look here

perhaps it is brassicaria, occuring in Greece. But that is only a guess.
