Hello,
today I got this fly near a wooden block of nesting holes for bees in our garden in Hannover, Germany.
Is it possibly Cacoxenus indagator?
Thank you in advance!
Hans

Yep. All about the place where
Osmia are active or where the flies suspect they might be active.

The same? At my balcony, wing length 3.5mm. May 10, 2016, Naro-Fominsk, Moscow region, Russia. Lots of blooming
Prunus padus before my house.
