Can anyone suggest a family for this fly? Malaise trap, Townsville, Queensland.

Tachinidae or Calliphoridae.

Thanks John. He's a bit bashed about unfortunately. Antenna would have been helpful. Maybe the malaise trap will produce another one in better condition.

iF you deliver the specimen, no doubt we can figure this one out.
If it is Tachinidae, which very well might be, it is very interesting.
