Found in decidous forest in Asturias, N Spain on 30.VIII.2015. Is it Hydrophoria or Hylemya?? Same place than the male previously posted, a few meters away. I guess it should be the same species. I would think Hydrophoria lancifer but... female Hydrophoria lancifer shouldn't have dark femora?? I am most confused :(

Whatever help will be most welcome :) Thanks in advance! |t

I think Hylemya. It is not Hydrophoria lancifer.

In Anthomyiidae the top of the fore femur is normally the first part of femora to get dark. Some species have a variable size dark patch there.
