It could be Chironomus (Chironomus). Is the pronotum projecting in lateral view?

Hi John
Sorry for this late answer.
It's protruding.

Then it's probably Chironomus.

Glyptotendipes has a deep notch in the middle of the pronotum and it is normally distinctly recessed in lateral view.

Thanks John,
It is not possible to make a more specific guess?

It looks like a typical member of subgenus Chironomus.

Comparing illustrations, the thick superior volsella with right angle bend is similar to luridus, riparius, pseudothummi, and piger.
