I found this beautiful species, probably belonging to the Tachinidae at Ballooerveld (Drenthe) yesterday (august 11) on umbells along a sandy path running through heathland. It's head looks remarkable like a syrphid..is this a species related the group who parasitize orthoptera or hemiptera? very curious..thanx in advance!
