Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Therevidae ID Germany

..south/east Germany, 04-06
up to now we were just hunted by a bunch of Tabanus sudeticus (unluckily without picture), then this one came along:

some 15mm of body length, general look really rhagio-like, eyes without stripes, typical light stripes on thorax,whitish tergites with shiny black stripes.
cannot make anything out of it...thanks for any help, Chris

edit: not Tabanidae...but Therevidae

i've got many more pictures and specimen still on the window struggling with spider nets ..just tell me what you need..thanks again, Chris

...and this is possible, isn't it...under "female" :
