Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Bibionidae? or Empididae? --> Empis chioptera

Dates: Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, at an uncultivated natural area, 25 msm, Outsidefoto: kuv, 17th of May 2013. I coldn't find it in the diptera gallery, I think it is a male but family or more?? Please help.

Mating while female feeds is typical behavior for Empidinae. The swollen tarsi suggest
Hilara, but that genus has dichoptic males and different shape of fork of R4+5.
