Hello,
I found this fly in a wood on July 12th 2014 next to Fontainebleau, France.
I would say it was about 8mm long.
Can you confirm the genus and find the species ?

The antenna is just above the mouth so i agree on Ogcodes. There are some discussions in another thread in this forum where they discuss that a new revision is needed for Ogcodes. The fly is sitting on Polytrichum formosum
