Machimus-group...entirely black legs it seems to me. > M. setibarbus, cyanopus > See: http://www.asilidae.de/ and look for Machimus intermedius. the text is quite interesting.

Interesting indeed.
M. intermedius is not in the list, so I changed the observation into an unsure
Machimus setibarbus-complex.
