Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Strange chinese Diptera, Pyrgotidae?

Here is very exotic-like Diptera from southern China, rice-fields near Guilin-City.
My son was trip there and ask me for this species?
When searching with family-name 'Pyrgotidae' I can find some near similar images, but no scientific name at all?
Those are chinese and taiwanese sites, so I can't understand anything :)

Can you tell me, if anyone know Family or Genus of this Species?

Yes, thanks. Same kind of Signal Fly (Platystomatidae sp.) from Borneo, but no Genus name ->
