Photograph taken on August 23, 2014, in the wetlands of the Suárez Pond, in Motril, Granada, Spain.
Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast.
Apparent size with wings, about 8-9 mm

Phaonia trimaculata : dark species with presutural acrostichals, typical pattern on scutum and scutellum (this latter with dark patches at base and one on each side, and often faintly reddish at tip), crossveins infuscated and eyes strongly hairy.
