Hello.
Rhagio vitripennis (male) is correct? 19.5.2014, Slovakia, Kosice.
Thank you.

I don't think so, I don't see any colouration in the wing.
The legs are very long: might be conspicuus.

I disagree, Theo. The whole wings are evidently darkened. For me it is R. vitripennis.

Compare with

http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=38683

the apex of hind femour does not exceed the apex of tergite 4, whereas above the exceed the apex of tergite 5.
the shading in the wing you mentioned might be due to the backgroud: Indo not see shading at the apex of discal cell.
any other pic would be a big help !

Karol, sory for my misleading. Theo, sorry too, you are right. I am in my office now with the Rhagionidae collection. On the picture is really Rhagio conspicuus. Rhagio vitripennis has all femora yellow, while R. conspicuus has apical part of femora III darkened. Karol, try to add body length in the future. R. conspicuus is a real beast almost twice longer than R. vitripennis, so body length is sometimes very very helpful.
Please, apologize my ID mistake
