I believe this is a muscid fly. Can anyone suggest a subfamily or perhaps genera?
Light trap, Townsville, Queensland.

It seems to me that I collected this species on the river sand near Normanton [18.16S 140.85E]. If so, this species was identified by Cranefly to species level. I'll ask her
