I caught this little one here, and wanna say it is a small Bombyliidae, but something keeps screaming Mythicomyiidae in my mind...
Specimen about 5 mm
Any help?
Thanks in advance!

It is a Bombyliidae. Looks like a
Phthiria. It would be very useful to know where is 'here' located ;) ;) ;) The world is very big ;)

Mythicomyiidae wouldn't have that forked M vein, right?

Exactly ;)
Knowing it is from Brazil makes things a lot more difficult for me :( I only know European Bombyliidae :(
But the whole insect and venation fits very well with
Phthiria. Still might be. At least it is something to start checking. I think the genus is found in America too.
