A large fly. Phorocera maybe?

Possibly assimilis or grandis but I would need a specimen to be sure :)

It's not possible from photos - that's why we need a specimen, assuming I am right with Phorocera :)

but grandis is extremely rare in the Netherlands and generally has a broader parafacial, so I have little doubt this is assimilis.
