could this be Heteronychia filia? Or a different sub-genus? it has 3 strong post DCs and no pre-scutellar acrostichals, and the lower face projects quite far forward

the arista is short plumose? And vein r1 is bare

thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy
I found a specimen last week that I keyed to filia using van Emden;
it looks very similar (superficially identical) to yours; unfortunately I didn't hinge-out the genitalia and don't want to destroy the abdomen just yet. I hope someone comes in with more info.
It would be a new one for me but it has occurred in Yorks.

My specimen seems to key ok in Whitmore's paper on Sardinian Heteronychia.
