Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid for ID, NW Spain --> Bithia sp. (modesta-group)

Found by lagoon in the steppes, Villafáfila, Zamora on 16.08.2013.

The further I can go is some species of Bithia by the pale basicostas and smoothly bent M vein. But surely do exist more Tachinids sharing these characters. Confirmation or correct ID will be most welcome ;) Thanks in advance for whatever help! :)

The apical scutellar bristles are (sub)erect, a clear indication of the Bithia modesta-group ! So you are right.
It is a female and I am not going to call it from pictures, difficult group !

Theo, just Bithia sp. for sure makes me extremely happy! :) :) Getting the modesta-group is far more than I could ever expert if is indeed Bithia! ;)

Thank you very much once more!! :) :) :)
