Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Mating Gaurax ?

Hello,

Could this couple be Gaurax sp. ?
They were feeding and "playing" on a bird drop and I have made a little video of that.
But apart of their ID I'm not sure whether they are really mating, or could the female be trying to get rid of the male instead ?!
What do you think: "shake it baby" or "get off you jerk !" ?

Aug 6th, 2013, Vevey, Switzerland, on a wood fence near a river in a humid wood.

Thank you Sara,
Yes I had seen that thread then, and as much as I can tell from my pictures I would say it matches; I have seen that von Tschirnhaus is around here these days, I hope he will express his opinion.
Thanks for the up!
