Paul thank you for your explanation. Indeed I found all of them on colonies of fungi. But only a single fly was found per group of adjacent fungi (always males waiting for femals?). Last year you identified a gravid female of this species from nearly the some location (http://www.dipter...d_id=49948 ) feeding nectar on Impatiens. Lay females their eggs on these fungi also?
