Hi Forum,

I have seen the discussions i other threads: tragopogonis or falcata, but which one is this species?

insects.at/images/originals/Diptera/Tephritidae/Orellia_falcata_A_0510C.jpg

Can it be identified at all?

And why can't i find the Species O. tragopogonis in Fauna europaea?

Thanks and Cheers

Hi! O. falcata, no doubts: tragopogonis has separate apical crossband.

Concerning FaEu: it was a new species omitted in 2004, and then an updated version was not actually updated in 2010 by accident, and it is very difficult to trace all the omitted (hunreds!!!) changes since they must be inserted manually now. That is one of the many-many-many gaps I must fix alone now.
