Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Empis opaca female and male

Hi,
This is another Empis of last weekend. The strong spinose bristles of the tibiae recall E. (Euempis) tessellata. However, I cannot see more than four scutellar bristles, so I feel uncertain about the species. Help is appreciated! Sundew
