Caught in sparsley vegitated grassland.

Is it possible to Identify the genus. And if so, what literature was used for that. And is there literature available to identify the species?

Thnx,

Ectemnius

Thnx for the ID.

I used Engel 1938 to identify the species.

Because the frons is black haired it keys out to H. ornatipes, H. scoparius or H. succinctus. Lehr 1988 mentions none of these species as occuring in France.

Can you or anyone help me to identify this specimen further?

Greetings,

Ectemnius

Milan Hradsky and I started a revision of the genus five years before. Because of my official duties I had to stop this work for the last three years, but will be able to continue on it next year. Without a revision identification is very difficult.
