Taken feeding on
Daucus carota in the outskirts of San Sebastian on July the 29th. At first thought that it might be
Phasia barbifrons but I think now that it should be
Phasia pusilla or one of the related species, which makes things much more difficult ;) Any suggestion or opinion will be most welcome :)
And there are more pictures if necessary ;)

Halteres seem to be yellow (which makes me think of
barbifrons).

I would say that it is a
Phasia obesa (female), from the dusted thorax, yellow halteres, pale hairs on the gena and the small size :)

I had my doubts, but the shape of the ovipostor seems to support this view.
