Hi Mark,
Did you check trees infected by fungi? I did found a Stegana on the same tree where I found Neoalticomerus. It was a fagus infected by Fomes fomentarius,(fres ones). This was my favorite tree for flies because I like the relationship between fungi and flies. The tree is now removed.
