Photograph taken on May 20, 2012, in the wetlands of the Suárez Pond, Motril, Granada, Spain.
Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast.
Apparent size with wings, about 11-12 mm

In my opinion the abdomen is far too short forit to be scripta.

In Spain, this one is easy: short abdomen and broken lateral yellow band --> Sphaerophoria rueppelli:)
