Could someone help me identifying these gall?
It was on Artemisia sp.
The photo (author: Guillermo Booth) was made near Murcia, Spain, on 17.2.2008.
Perhaps Ptiloedaspis tavaresiana?

I think this galls can be of Oedaspis or better Ptiloedaspis tavaresiana

All galls of this shape differ mainly in the species of host plant and localisation; but almost nothing is known about Spanish plants; see my paper of http://www.v-zool...2/3/01.pdf
