found on 2012-05-04 at the Wollenberg, Hesse, Germany, sucking on Cuckoo Flowers (Cardamine pratensis). Regards, Ingo

Empididae, Empis sp.
Empis and Rhampomyia can have this spectacular aedagus, and Empis have a fork on vein R4+5.

Thank you, mossnisse. So I think Empis should be the correct genus. The length of the flies is about 5mm.
