Hi

Switzerland, 430 msm, near Lake Zurich 20.04.2012, near housgarden and ditch

Is it Epistrophe? E.flava? same as here, but the male? (sorry for the bad quality of pics)

Hi Brigitte :)

It's an Epistrophe but not E. falva, E. falva have not black "lip". It's either E. melanostoma or E. nitidicollis.
E. melanostoma has yellow-orange hairs on the scutellum.
E. nitidicollis has brown hairs on the scutellum.

So, I would have said E. melanostoma;)
