Hello together,

i take the pictures from these fly on 09.11.2011 in Ennepetal / NRW / D.
It is about 3 mm long.
Which fly does it is ?

It's a Limnellia - possibly an extreme example of wing reduction in one of the known species (both surturi and quadrata exhibit wing reduction in individuals) but it would be worth checking the genitalia for confirmation. Do you have the specimen? :)

I take only the pictures, because I'm only a "hobby" photographer who likes it to see the interesting little creatures.

Thanks, Reiner - If you see any more in the area, do let me know - it would be worth checking to see if they are an undescribed species. (I suspect you may not see any more, however - I think this is more likely to be an aberrant individual.)
