Yes, Hedy, every evening I am very busy with Malaise material. Every evening I am determining material from Belgium, Warrfum and Zeeland. But I visit diptera.info fairly frequently

I've just been searching for images of Minettia inusta to compare with Palloptera quinquemaculata, and much as I hesitate to question the experts above, to my eyes this one looks more like Palloptera quinquemaculata. Aren't there too many black spots on the wings for Minettia, especially the darkened veins at the radial fork?

ha, sometimes we should be careful not take things too seriously. And especially not ourselves!
But, I found in some papers that the Palloptera and Minettia are so often mixed up!
But, I make things even worse. Quite often I go through my collection and still very often I find out that some identifications were false and even after checking several times it still happens. Well, we call it learning. As soon as we stop learning, everything become much less interesting.
