Platypezidae sounds correct - I saw one doing the same kind of running 'dance' on Wednesday in a local nature reserve - fascinating stuff :)

1. Platypeza/Paraplatypeza
2. Which camera have you used, please?

Thanks! Are there visible differences to distinguish the two genera?
My camera is a Canon XH-A1. Normally (for shooting small animals) I use it with a Canon 500D and/or a Soligor 72mm close-up lense (both achromatic). Other clips taken with this camera you may find here: http://commons.wi...:Pristurus.

I'm pretty sure it's a male Platypeza hirticeps: some very long dorsal bristles on pedicel are visible as well as very long bristles on parafacialia extending above antennae.

Dimitry, thank you. Yesterday I found another individual of this small fly and so I was able to add a few short scenes to the video showing other views of the fly body.

Yes, P. hirticeps.
