Thanks for your suggestion. I think only confusa and villosa are known Denmark. Ought to have caught it. And I'll wait.

Thanks for confirming. I'll search a little to find out if this species is known from Denmark. You're so sure about about the species that I can report it to our national site for insects and fauna?

And it turned out to be new for Denmark.

yes,
but I'm not sure if your pics really show Sc. (L.) brachypterna :-( Palpi are rather totally orange, so it should be Sc. (L.) collini described by me in 2004 ! Unfortunately I have a jpg-scan from this paper. If you want I can send it at once. I add the key to both mentioned species.

Hi Andrzej.
The case are evolving!
I would very much like the scan of your paper concerning collini.
But I'm not completely sure, that I understand your conclusion about my photographs. Collini? Or either collini or brachypterna but not sure which based on the pictures alone.
The eternal question: why didn't I just catch it instead of taking a picture?
IŽll try to make a better picture of the palps later today if this could be helpfull.
Thanks for all your help.

And a picture trying to show the palps more clearly. Unfortunately the quality is not the best.

Hi Martin,
your last pics show that it is Scoliocentra (L.) brachypterna new to Denmark !
I don't prefer pics identification because sometimes details are not quite visible :-)
Andrzej
BTW the scan of collini is ca. 0.9 MB, so if you want it send please the preferred email address ;-)
