I would very much appreciate ID help with this handsome fly.

16 mm long to apex of wing.

2 October 2007. Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near Socorro, New Mexico.

Efferia female (which are tough to identify!). Seems to be E. kelloggi (though has more white bristles than typical for that sp.). A member of the pogonias sp. group (like kelloggi) -- based on the apex of the ovipositor -- which is split and upturned at the tip.
