Hello flyforum,

Today (24-8-2006) I found a Tachinidae-looking fly in some reet.
place: De Nieuwe Meer (lake Amsterdam)

The fly was very dark with two sharp white lines on it's abdomen.
3rd antennes are light and on the legs are big strong black 'spiny' hairs.
Scutem and abdomen got are a bit glossy and the forehead is also black.
Legs are black
Size of the fly: 10 mm or less..

When I looked at the pictures at home, I was surprised that I took also the male of this fly.
They must have played hide and seek but I did not mention it.

What kind of Tachinidae is this? Exorista? or perhabs Th. nigripes?
Perhabs it is something different..
