Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Scathophaga inquinata??

I took this photo of a Scathophaga sp? today, which looks very like one that Tim Worfolk posted on 9.4.10 which he tentatively identified as Scathophaga inquinata. Can anyone say if this is S. inquinata or something else?

Wiltshire, southwest UK 12.4.10

If the arista is plumose, I agree.

Many thanks Stephane. Yes, in my original high resolution images i can see that the arista is plumose. So I think we can confirm this as S. inquinata based on your reply Here is a closer crop of another image where this is clear in the original shot. Not sure if it will show at 150KB though...!
