Looks very interesting indeed ... to me it doesn't run to
Peribaea though because there is no down-curved proepimeral seta. For me it runs to
Aphantorhaphopsis selecta but it isn't a species I am familiar with so we need some input from Theo and the others :)

I agree with Aphantorhaphopsis and selecta is an option.
The setulae on R1 in samarensis are small and difficult to see.
Andersen gives for selecta: 'Easily recognized by .. the absence or strong reduction of ventral seta on tibia 2'
So, got for that, I'd say

The ventral face of the tibia 2 is not easy to photograph.
I thought that the book of Andersen concerned that Siphonini of the Northern Europe.

Well, I don't think the geographic range is described exactly and the book concentrates most on Scandinavia but it is called 'The Siphonini (Diptera: Tachinidae) of Europe' and it does mention the rest of Europe in many places and lists specimens from Southern Europe :)
