This small Tephritidae appeared this weekend in a patch of nettles (Urtica dioica) in a river forest at Calamocha, Teruel, NE Spain.

Could it be identified?

Euaresta bullans Wd. infesting Xanthium flower heads. An adventive species introduced probably from Americas some 200-250 years ago.

Thanks a lot Valery. Your help is very much appreciated. You always help with these painted-winged flies (tephritids, ulidids, etc)
